TradeStation Global Services – 2013-Today

(Development Manager / Sr. Agile Software Engineer / Software Architect)

Started working for TradeStation in Costa Rica 4 months after opening back in 2013. During the last 4+ years, helped build the Business Services Development and Quality Assurance teams in Costa Rica. Participated in whole cycle from hiring, on boarding, training, coordinating all the way to anual performance reviews for the team. Coordinated resources and project roadmaps, provided visibility to upper management and helped architect, implement and deploy various software solutions for TradeStation. Worked with teams from Florida, Dallas and Tokyo.

Achievements:

Design, review and development of SDLC for the division.
On-boarding, training and coaching of technical resources.
Implemented “ITTASK” support task system for internal customers.
Design, implementation, deployment and support of B2B account opening process for TS Platform White Labeling Program for China and Korea regions.
Design and implementation of UI Automation Framework for the department.
Design and implementation of various enterprise software integrations with MS GP, MS Dynamics CRM, jira, Confluence and ServiceNow.
Several other ASP.NET and Java development Projects.
Currently participating in the design phase of a project to move all of our infrastructure to the cloud using configuration as code and MS DSC.

Aztec Business Solutions – 2007-2013

(Sr. Agile Software Engineer / Technical Team Lead, Agile Consultant)

Worked for Aztec Business Solution of Latin America developing several projects for external customers as well as several company IP assets. Performed as Technical Team Lead on Blue Calypso Mobile development Team, JFW team and others, helped Aztec evaluate Agile Practices and techniques, facilitated the adoption process for the different development teams and trained the Innovation department on the tools and practices needed for their Agile Implementation.

Achievements:

Implementation of TFS as the main interation-Realese tracking tool and training of project members on the use of TFS for task management, DSU’s and Planning games.
Development of BoardVision software, a tool for managing BOD meetings and contents, this was the first successful project for AztecSystems using Agile methodologies (hybrid of Scrum and XP). User MS .NET, SQL, Infragistics .Net Advantage, Net Tiers, etc.
Development of CD3’s ecommerce website using .NET, SQL and BizTalk Server.
Development of ASAP software for Dell Corporation using C++ under different Linux environments including Suse, Fedora and Ubuntu flavors.
Development of Johnson Equipment’s Support website using .NET, and Infragistics .NET Advantage web components.
Technical Team leading/Development of IntegraColor’s JFW Website.
Several other ASP.NET Projects.
Trained and Leaded the Blue Calypso Mobile development Team.

Intel Corporation – 2005-2007

(Sr. Agile Software Engineer / Technical Team Leader / Scrum Master)

I Worked on CSIS (Corporate Services Information Systems) designing, developing and sustaining various software products created in-house for several different business areas, including construction, productivity management, factory incident management, etc.

Played Tech Lead and Scrum Master roles in several projects.

Achievements:

Technical leading of CSIS Software Globalization Project: successfully landed a suite of over 200 applications on CBS environment, standardized configuration information management and implemented continuous integration to all applications, making them easier to sustain and improve.
Development of CS CostClub, a tool to present cost savings ideas to improve productivity at CS.
Development of VFSchedule, an application interfacing with Primavera’s P3E product to manage construction projects.
During The Globalization Project, Successfully implemented the use of TFS as the standard system of record for Work Item and Bug management, source code control and planning sessions.
Design, Development and collaborative project management of “TMG Newsroom”, a publishing tool benefiting TMG communications consortium customers, and eventually, the Intel Enterprise.
Participated on various teams helping continuous improvement processes for CSIS including implementation of Agile practices and methodologies.

I Worked on CQN (Corporate Quality Networks) development group collaborating on Maintenance and development of CQN Web tools and content.

Achievements:

Development of CQN Balanced Scorecard WebParts for new BSC SharePoint Portal.
Creation of International Goodie drawer tool.
Various improvements to the “CQN Instant Recognitions” Tool.
Improvements to the “Individual Development Plan” Web Tools.
Various improvements to CQN (Corporate Quality Networks) Site and Web tools.
Collaborated on “Hiring process” flow and tools clarification and documentation and definition for new “CQN Hiring Tool”.

BetOnSports.com – 2001-2004

(Chief Analyst-Developer – Financial Systems)

I was in charge of the development and project management of the new internet and intranet financial system and was also responsible for general project development and delivery in the financial systems development department.

Achievements:

Re-Design of the existing financial systems, including online banking and gambling tools.
Development of the new financial system. (the new financial system resulted twice as fast as the old system at on-line credit card processing resulting in twice as much deposits received on a typical high-season day)
Design and deployment of online account management software resulting on the customer having a credit profile at the system so he don’t have to enter credit card and bank account information for each transaction, making customer experience much more comfortable.
Migration of the online betting systems from COLDFUSION to ASP.
General application development for various areas of the company.
Last one and a half years developing v3 of the financial system using C#, ASP.net, .NET remoting and other .net technologies and tools.

Y2K Websolutions – 1999-2001

I was responsible of the development of general administrative systems and also worked on broadcasting of online digital content over the internet (audio and video). Member of board of directors.

Achievements:

Development of “Reloj” radio group’s complete administrative system.
Development of Internet Web Sites for several Costa Rican radio stations like “979 Conexion”, “Reloj”, “Punto 5”, “Radio Eco”, “Eco News”.
Development of online system and broadcasting of various contents for the National Radio Stations Chamber of Costa Rica.
Creation and development of the programming department including Implementation of development and project management process on the company.

Jaco Fiesta Resort & Casino – 1998-1999
